Special Clinics- all by appointment

ANTENATAL APPOINTMENTS: All doctors are on the obstetric list. A Kingston Community Midwife holds a  fortnightly clinic on Monday afternoons (13:30-15:30 hr).
POSTNATAL checks are done at 6 - 8 weeks by a doctor.

ASTHMA CARE: Dr Iqbal has a special interest in asthma and will see new referrals. Routine follow ups are seen by the asthma nurse. Book appointment at reception

BABY CLINIC AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT CHECKS:  All doctors are approved for paediatric surveillance.

CHILDREN’S IMMUNISATIONS: For under 5’s are generally done at the Children’s Clinic on Thursday afternoon between 13:30 and 16:00 hr.

HEALTH VISITORS: Available by appointment every Thursday afternoon at the surgery for advice.  They will arrange with you directly for 8 month checks and for the 7 month  hearing test which will both be done at the surgery.  A baby weighing clinic is held every Friday between 13.30 and 14.30 hrs.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: Patients are seen individually for assessment at Acre Road Clinic Kingston.  Group sessions are organised where appropriate.  Access to this service is by prior consultation with your doctor, who can then arrange the referral

DIABETIC CLINIC 10:40-12:00 hr: Dr Kumar and the nurse run a weekly session on Fridays.

DIETETIC CLINIC 13:00-16:00 hr: A monthly ‘in-house’ session is run by the hospital dietician. Referrals are via the doctor where medically indicated.

FAMILY PLANNING: All doctors provide this service but we run a separate clinic on Tuesday evening (16:15-18:15 hr).  Coils are fitted by appointment after consultation with the doctor.

FOREIGN TRAVEL: Immunisations and advice for travelling abroad can be obtained from our practice nurses.  Please book a double appointment eight weeks before departure.The Practice is a Designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.

INFERTILITY COUNSELLING. Karen Lobb holds a weekly session at the surgery. Referral is arranged by a doctor or practice nurse.

MINOR SURGERY: After consultation with your doctor an appointment will be made for surgery.

PRE  & POST TERMINATION OF PREGNANCY COUNSELLING:  Karen Lobb holds a weekly session at the surgery. Referral is arranged by a doctor or practice nurse

SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP THERAPY: Karen Lobb holds a weekly session at the surgery. Referral is arranged by a doctor or practice nurse.

SMOKING CESSATION: Sandra Wise, Karen Gear and Lynn Herridge run sessions on an individual basis. Please ask at reception for details
